Notewise AI usage and credit guide
Learn how Notewise AI credits are calculated and how different AI features use them.
Notewise AI is designed to help you analyze and learn from your notes. It can summarize content, explain concepts, generate study materials, and more.
1. How are credits calculated?
AI credit consumption varies based on several factors, including page count, content density (amount of text or handwriting complexity), and the complexity of your request (e.g., a simple Q&A uses fewer credits than generating a full podcast).
To give you a clear idea of what is possible, we have estimated usage based on a typical study scenario:
Reference Scenario:
A note of approximately 50 pages, consisting of university lecture slides or handwritten notes with clear, analyzable knowledge content.
2.
AI Usage Estimates
Based on the reference scenario above, here is the estimated monthly capacity for Notewise Cloud Starter subscribers:
Note:
These figures are estimates. If your notes are shorter or contain less data, your capacity will be higher. Conversely, processing extremely long or dense documents may consume credits faster.
All AI features draw from a single, shared monthly credit. The figures above illustrate the maximum potential usage if you were to dedicate your entire monthly quota to just one specific feature type. Using one feature (e.g., generating a Podcast) will reduce the remaining credits available for other features (e.g., Full Note Analysis).
For Notewise Cloud Pro subscribers, your AI usage limit is approximately 3x higher than the Starter figures listed above. This tier is designed for power users with high-intensity study or professional needs.
3. Frequently Asked Questions
When do my AI credits reset?
AI usage credits automatically reset on the 1st of every month, regardless of your specific subscription billing date. Unused credits from the previous month do not roll over.
Does "Clear History" restore my credits?
No. The Clear History button only clears the current conversation history / memory to help you start a fresh conversation topic. It does not reset the credits already used to process and analyze that note.
