What happens when I run out of storage?

If you reach your storage limit, you’ll experience restrictions on most actions within the Notewise app, including editing and viewing notes. You’ll also receive an email notification from Notewise about your storage usage. Any data exceeding your plan’s limit will be marked for deletion after 7 days.


To prevent data loss, you have two options:

  1. Upgrade or Free Up Space – Within the 7-day window, you can either upgrade to a higher storage plan or delete some notes to free up space. Keep in mind that notes in the Bin still take up storage, so make sure to empty the Bin after deleting notes. If you take action within this period, your data will remain safe.
  2. Switch to Notewise Unlimited – Alternatively, you can sign out and use Notewise Unlimited, which has no cloud storage restrictions. Your notes will only be limited by your device’s storage capacity. If you choose this option, be sure to export your data or follow this FAQ to migrate your notes from Notewise Cloud to Notewise Unlimited.
