Draw, scroll and zoom using fingers

Notewise allows you to customize Single Finger and Double Finger input to perform different actions. By default, Single Finger is set to scroll, while your Stylus is designated for drawing. To customize finger input settings:

  1. Tap the three-dot menu button.
  2. Select Stylus & Finger.
  3. In the popup window, you can personalize the draw, scroll, and zoom behaviors for finger input.

For quick adjustments, use the Finger Mode button on the toolbar to modify Single Finger input settings.

Palm Rejection

Palm rejection can vary depending on your device and Android version. If you experience persistent issues with palm rejection while drawing with a stylus, consider setting Single Finger to "Ignored",  Double Finger to "Scroll" or "Zoom and pan". After that, you may use double finger to scroll or zoom.

To avoid accidental zoom change, you may either lock the zoom, or set Double Finger to Scroll.

Removal of Scroll Mode in Notewise 2.12.9 and Above

Based on user feedback, we've simplified gesture handling and removed the Scroll Mode in version 2.12.9 and later.

  • To scroll with your finger: Use the Finger Mode button on the toolbar to switch Single Finger input to scroll.
  • To scroll with your stylus: Switch from Edit mode to View mode.
