What happens when I run out of cloud storage?

Find out what happens when you reach your cloud storage limit and how to prevent your notes from being deleted.

If you reach your storage limit, you won’t be able to continue editing your notes in the Notewise app. However, you can still view and export your notes. You’ll also receive an email notification from Notewise about your storage usage.

Any data that exceeds your plan’s storage limit will be marked for deletion after 7 days. To prevent data loss, you have two options:

  1. Upgrade or Free Up Space – Within the 7-day window, you can upgrade to a plan with a higher storage limit or delete notes to free up space. Keep in mind that notes in the Bin still count toward your storage usage, so make sure to empty the Bin after deleting them. As long as you bring your storage usage within your plan’s limit during this period, your data will remain safe.

  2. Switch to Classic Unlimited Plan – Alternatively, you can sign out and use the Notewise Classic Unlimited Plan, which has no cloud storage limit. Your notes will only be limited by your device’s available storage. If you choose this option, be sure to export your data or follow this FAQ to migrate your notes from the cloud to your local device.
